About i-Merino

About i-merino

i-merino is the most sustainable performance activewear fabric on the planet.

It’s the brainchild of fourth-generation merino wool grower and first-generation snowboarder, Stuart Adams.

Also a devotee of outback climbing, mountain biking, motorcycle rallying, surfboat rowing, sailing and hiking, Stuart experienced first hand the superior performance characteristics of merino wool. Its softness, warmth and breathability.

But his love of the land inspired him to want a merino fabric that was more sustainable - for the planet, the animals, and the farmers who raise them.

So he created a new, more efficient approach to merino production that would leave the rivers less polluted, the earth more fertile, and farmers better placed to continue growing the fiber that is one of nature’s miracles.

The result is i-merino.

The culmination of a ten-year crusade, i-merino has all the high performance attributes of normal merino, but has been produced using the world’s best environmental management practices.

In fact, i-merino was the first merino production chain in the world to be awarded the European Union’s Ecolabel.

For people who need performance and cherish the planet there can be only one choice.

i-merino.  It’s activewear for the forward thinker.
