"For a year now I have worn i-merino thermal underwear everyday here in Antarctica with the wind chill getting as low as minus 70°C. My work varies from powerhouse duties working in plus 20°C then going straight out to minus 30°C to work on a machine or monitor a fuel transfer to the powerhouse. Wool is the best fabric that I know of that will keep me warm while I\'m outside without making me overheat when I\'m inside.
Having tried man-made fabrics in the same conditions, I found them to be clammy, itchy & uncomfortable. I find the i-merino products very comfortable with the only time I notice them being when I am not wearing them. Having been on field trips where I\'ve worn the same clothing for a week with no opportunity to wash or change I found the natural properties of wool to have been far less odorant than the synthetic garments of my companions. The i-merino thermal has been one of the most rewarding purchases I\'ve made for my time in the Antarctic."
